As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Sasha L. Ribic utilizes an Adlerian psychological perspective to inform her work, which stresses the need for community and connection for maintaining mental health and wellness. She also incorporates interpersonal, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness based therapeutic approaches to individualize treatment. Her work is collaborative and interactive with an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, as well as, client strengths and resiliencies. Dr. Ribic is a socially responsible practitioner, who respects and celebrates human diversity and difference.
Trained as a generalist, Dr. Ribic provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in working with emerging adults, ages 15-25, and individuals coping with various life transitions, self-harming behaviors, anxiety symptoms, disordered eating habits, self-esteem concerns, and womenβs issues. Additionally, areas of interest include grief/trauma counseling, depression, LGBTQ related topics, and eliminating self-defeating behaviors. Additionally, Dr. Ribic enjoys providing psycho educational programs and seminars within the community and engaging in consultative services.
Dr. Ribic received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL. She was awarded a certificate in Advanced Adlerian Psychotherapy, as well as a specialization in Primary Care Psychology. Dr. Ribic is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Ohio Psychological Association, and the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology.
